A day at the zoo...

Spent a fun few hours at Riverbanks Zoo today; the weather was nice and cool and it was not crowded at all.

We fed the giraffes, listened to the crazy monkeys "singing", and fed the lorikeets. Lincoln is still not a big fan of those birds... Especially since one landed on his head this time. He said it hurt him... I think it spooked him. Almost all of the animals were active today... Except the lions of course. They were asleep.

We had a good time. The zoo is a nice get-away from the day to day stuff.

And so it begins...

Another soccer season is upon us and the weather has decided to treat us as if we are in England. It is cold, breezy and over-cast. Last year we died from the heat the first few games... I actually like this cold weather. I'm hoping it stays this way.

The team seems really young this time. Michael and the other coaches have a lot of work to do. I've seen way too many tears and the first game hasn't even started. Oh my!

Lincoln is hoping to play goalie. He loves it. It is his personal quest to keep the balls out of the goal... Maybe he'll stick with it.

Not sure of the final score (I know we didn't win) but Lincoln scored the only 3 goals of the game.
